Kodo Kids is a company devoted to the growth and development of children. Period.
Kodo Kids’ founder, Chris Hume, founded the company based on three driving passions- design, children and play. These passions have evolved into a vision- enriching childrens’ lives through open-ended, play-based equipment, tools and toys. This is achieved through thoughtful design and production of items that encourage open-ended, child- oriented, playful-learning.

At Kodo Kids, we believe in learning through play and that toys should encourage self directed exploration and discovery, in addition to being entertaining and a whole lot of fun. The items we design, build and sell are fundamentally grounded in traditional play to encourage kids to explore, communicate, experience, problem solve and understand, but most importantly, smile and laugh. All of our products are open ended and versatile- they sky’s the limit, let the creativity flow!

What you won’t find at Kodo Kids are narrowly-focused, battery operated, “occupy your children” toys. Too often in our industry products are designed for cheap production rather than for the children, resulting in uninspiring, lackluster products. Kodo Kids has taken the opposite approach- we believe products for children need to be designed for the purpose of serving children. Not for the sole purpose of increasing the company’s bottom line. What you will find here are products that are actually child centered!

It is the mission of Kodo Kids to provide tools for children both at home and in the classroom so they may experience an environment that fosters intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.

A Word About Our Products
In the production of all of our products, environment and health are always of first concern. We strive to use the most earth friendly and child healthy materials and production processes possible. Our products are built in the USA using child-safe non-toxic materials (low VOC paint, recycled wood fiber formaldehyde-free MDF). We use recycled material whenever possible and focus on minimizing production waste. Materials are sourced locally to reduce our carbon footprint.
